Eyes soft or piercing,

feeling of joy or grief,

lips can put forward

emotions without moving.

A human face reflects thousand emotions without relying on speech. Hair, a vital feature of a human face speaks volume about one’s state of mind unbound in any barriers. Freedom, fun, happiness are mere an expression which I have tried to depict in terms of my understanding of creativity.

The journey of my inspiration commenced from flipping through the pages of Vogue when a dash of breeze came my way and Bingo! I discovered my inspiration for this project – NATURE. Focusing on the varied palette of environment, the base was a smooth transition from Yellows to Greens camouflaged with touches of Red, Mauve and Purple. The gown falls along the length while being fitted on the upper torso. Whereas, multi-colored uncut gems give the neck an identity of its own.

Over the last five years, India has emerged as a promising centre in the gems and jewellery industry worldwide. Celebrating this global stature of India in the gems and jewellery industry, The India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) was organised by the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), inaugrated in the presence of Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of India; along with IIJW brand ambassador, Sonam Kapoor. As well as Rajiv Jain, Chairman of GJEPC and Sanjay Kothari, GJEPC Vice Chairman at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on 31st July. IIJW is Asia’s first jewellery week aimed at reinforcing India’s position as the global leader in jewellery design.
